Composite fillings
Composite fillings are a safe long term alternative to the traditional metal fillings, they are white fillings and the shade can be chosen to match the colour of your natural tooth so that the filling is not noticeable when you smile.

Composite fillings are designed to take the same amount of stress your teeth would every day, however they are not going to last a lifetime. If your filling is damaged or comes out, it is generally easy to replace provided you contact the surgery as soon as you can to ensure your tooth does not become infected. Composite fillings may need to be polished occasionally as they will stain like your own teeth with red wine, coffee or turmeric.
Crowns or bridges
Crowns can be used if your tooth is damaged, cracked, chipped or broken. If your tooth needs a filling that is too large for the tooth to support, a crown can protect a weak tooth.

Bridges can be used where teeth are missing, the healthy teeth can act as an anchor for the bridge. Bridges can improve the aesthetics of your smile if you are missing a tooth.
Cleaning and polishing
We are able to offer a scale and polish if you have staining on your teeth from tea, coffee, red wine etc.

We are also able to offer an Air Polish which is a pain free and simple technique where compressed air is used along with particles to polish the teeth, this does not damage the enamel.
Whitening
Whitening is a great way to improve your confidence in your smile. The dentist will first take an impression of your teeth and record the shade that you have started off with. Then, once the lab has made your whitening trays you can use these at home to whiten your teeth, as instructed by your dentist.
At home whitening is a great way to choose your shade, you can use the syringes given to you to and if you achieve the shade you desire you can store these for top up treatments later. The trays that are made specifically for your teeth will be reusable.
